In the 2nd season you can manage your drivers so that they always start at the front of the grid (or at least most of the time) I didn't develop parts at all as I was confident I could get promoted (APS is also an easy league as it starts with spec engines and as long as it doesn't get voted out, you can get points at the beginning of the season that will last you up until the end most of the times - only the first cars get points).Īlso important in the 1st season would be to get pay drivers (Kinney) or with high marketability (Price) as they will get you a better budget for next season. I'd also go for Factory Lvl 2, as this allows for way faster reliability improvement at the beginning of the season, and it will net you important points while all other cars on the track fail or stop for really long pit stops. I wouldn't develop the engine at all in my 1st season, because I'm not going to win anyway, and that money will be better spent catching up in Brakes/Suspension/Gearbox. In the 1st season, with a weak engine like ZRT, my main priority would be to get Spec Engines voted in. You are broken and with a crap car in T3, so put the money where it counts. Better staff (designer and mechanics) are not needed for T3 and the good one won't sign for you anyway until you are T2 at least. Engine is ~60% of car performance, Gearbox ~ 20% and breaks ~ 10%, develop parts accordingly. Tire heat and improvability is utterly useless. Fuel consumption is useful, but not as mandatory as tire wear. Pick the cheapest option for everything else to save money. Coming last every race is nothing to be ashamed of if you are on of the bottom teams. This takes any pressure off you in the first season and allows you to take time to develop parts and infrastructure. When it's time to design the new car (preseason) you care only about tire wear. Your first target should be to finish 10th in the constructors championship.
Put as much money as you can afford toward the next season car (in order to unlock all the available options). Since the best part is carried over to the next season. Once you reached the max you can do with your facility build the last part that maximises performance (even using illegal parts).

You highest priority is to get 2 pay drivers with high marketability and you need only 1 good pay driver (E. Engine facility (is the most important component). Factory, to improve the reliability of your parts.
